A family 'burst into tears' when they discovered their cat who went missing for three years was finally found safe.
Lou Barker from Wokingham discovered her daughters cat Boo had gone missing on May 9, 2018.
Boo the cat was her daughter's "best friend" and when she vanished, Faith couldn't stop crying thinking she was gone forever.
Mum Lou told the Wokingham News: "Faith was only 12 at the time so she’d never experienced the emotion of losing a pet. She cried for weeks at the mere mention of Boo’s name! She searched everywhere, we all did. Faith never stopped looking!"

The family assumed Boo had got lost in a builders van all the way down to Poole, as that was where the builders were based at the time.
The white cat with distinctive blue and green eyes was known to sleep under car bonnets, so Lou assumed she got lost there.
Three years later this Sunday, March 14, a woman called Amber discovered an injured white cat in Doles Lane, Barkham, Wokingham.
Lou said: "I figured there was no harm in asking as there was always the possibility she could also of hitched a ride with my Husband and his work yard is in Sandy Lane, right opposite Doles Lane! I just asked them to check when they caught the cat if it had different coloured eyes?
"I didn’t dare hope and didn’t mention it to Faith. Then on Monday afternoon Amber tagged me in a comment and asked if our cat was microchipped. Then came another question asking what her name was.... "Boo"..... then nothing for about 10 minutes."

After messaging back and forth on Facebook, the woman who found the lost cat confirmed it was her name.
Lou said she "burst into tears" as she received the news that her cat had been found after all of the years.
She said "I literally shouted to Faith that Boo had been found. She burst into tears, as did I! Amber agreed to meet us at our vets who were amazing! Boo had some injuries but thankfully nothing too serious. We think she remembers us as she’s been so happy to see us all! Especially Faith!"
After a check up at the vets, Lou and Faith were told that Boo could have been fending for herself in Barkham the whole time - they just never knew.
Lou added: "A huge message is the importance of micro chipping! I have to be honest, Boo's information wasn’t up do date so it was just REALLY lucky I saw the post. But lesson firmly learnt and also a huge thank you to The Cats protection as without their service no one would have been able to get hold of Boo to scan her chip".
