A ‘STRUGGLING’ gym in Ascot has managed to bite back during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Formerly known as CrossFit Ascot, Danny Pyatt has managed to expand his new gym Gain Line into Ascot Racecourse.
Danny and his team of six coaches adapted to the lockdown restrictions by offering virtual gym classes.
He also allowed his 100 members to loan exercise equipment just so they can continue their fitness at home.

He said: “Fitness and sport has always played an enormous role in my life and overall wellbeing, both physical and mental, so I understood better than most the potential impact that closing our doors would have on our members.”
Mr Pyatt said: “We had reached capacity at our old unit and with a waiting list of members we needed more room. With the help of Ascot Racecourse, our loyal members and lots of grit and vision, we turned a cold and empty shed into a state-of-the-art CrossFit gym with a large training area, multiple changing and shower facilities, personal training studio and social area.”

The new venue also includes dedicated Olympic weightlifting platforms, strength training equipment, gymnastic facilities, space for coached classes and one-to-one training and the heart of the entire venue - a breakout seating area for members to socialise, have a coffee or purchase protein shakes and bars.
Pyatt has been managing his own CrossFit gym since the age of 21 and has created a culture of community and fun within his own fitness facility.
He added: “Without the ongoing support of my fiancée, family, friends and incredible community of members we would not have made it through the challenges of the past year let alone have expanded into bigger and better premises.”
The gym is set to open its doors on April 12. Gain Line will be offering outdoor training from March 29.
