MORE than two dozen new homes could be built in Warfield if new plans are given the go-ahead.
That’s one of a number of interesting planning applications submitted to Bracknell Forest Council in the past week.

28 new homes in Warfield (planning reference 21/00137/OUT).
Developers are hoping to put up 28 new homes at Grove Gardens on Forest Road in Hayley Green, Warfield.
New access will be created off Bracknell Road in order to support the site and an area of public space would be created to serve the new community, too.
No affordable homes would be provided with the new units, however.

In a planning statement, applicants Warfield Place say an alternate application is set to be submitted for 32 homes at the same site with the inclusion of seven affordable homes.
That application has not yet been submitted, however.
Nine new homes in Binfield (21/00141/FUL)
Land north of Tilehurst Lane in Binfield could soon be home to nine new dwellings should developers get their way.
New plans have been submitted which includes the building of two affordable homes at the site.

A similar plan was refused back in 2019 as council bosses suggested the development would have a harmful impact on the countryside and would harm a neighbouring Grade II listed property, among other reasons.
A subsequent appeal was dismissed by the Secretary of State in January of this year.
New scout hut in Bracknell (21/00172/3)
Two new wooden structures are set to go up at Baybrooke Recreation Ground on Makepiece Road in Bracknell.
One will be used as a scout hut for a local Scout group with the other set to be used as a classroom for Bracknell Town Council.

A planning statement read indicated the scout hut will be used periodically for scouting activities, with the classroom used by BTC for teaching children about vegetation, trees and wildlife in the park.
As with all applications above, this plan is currently pending consideration from Bracknell Forest Council.
