CRIMINALS jailed in March include burglars, dangerous drivers and a knifeman who told a woman her life 'wasn't worth living'. 

The list below includes some of the offenders that were put behind bars by judges during March.

The offenders' names and a summary of what led to them appearing in the dock are as follows:

'Dangerous' man who strangled woman and stabbed her in the throat

Bracknell News:

David Rackett, of Scours Lane, Reading, was sentenced at Reading Crown Court on March 15 after stabbing a woman in the throat.

10 minutes after David and his victim got to his home, Rackett launched the violent attack throwing her to the floor and strangling her.

The woman managed to free herself from his grip before he stabbed her in the throat, saying her life wasn't worth living. Read more here 

Drug dealer jailed after driving into oncoming traffic

Bracknell News:

Patrik Jankoczky, aged 21, of Benson Close, Reading was sentenced at Reading Crown Court on Tuesday, March 23, to two years and six months imprisonment.

Jankoczky was approached by officers while he sat in the driver's seat of a car in Chepstow Road, Tilehurst on July 17, 2019.

He attempted to drive off, but mounted a curb and was involved in a crash with an oncoming car. The victim, a woman in her 60s, sustained minor injuries in the incident.

Man jailed after trying to gouge police officer's eye

Bracknell News:

Ireneusz Wiater aged 35, of no fixed abode, was sentenced in Reading Crown Court on Thursday, March 4, after being found guilty of causing grievous bodily harm with intent to a police officer.

Wiater assaulted a police officer by choking him in a headlock and tried to gouge his left eye out.

He was then charged and remanded the next day.

The attack left the officer with "many painful injuries", including temporary blindness in his eye.

Man who hid 'multiple bundles of class A drugs' within car

Bracknell News:

Subhaan Nazir, aged 19, of Greenham Avenue, Reading was in his car when he was stopped by officers on Russell Street, Reading last October, with a search revealing multiple bundles of class A drugs hidden within the car.

A search of another vehicle belonging to Nazir also found further quantities of drugs.

The force said in total, 1500 wraps of drugs were located, alongside two mobile phones and a quantity of cash.

He was sentenced to three years and three months in a youth detention centre.

Man who drove at speeds of 130mph to escape police and crashed into trees

A man who drove at speeds of 130mph as he tried to escape police in Maidenhead has been jailed for a number of driving offences.

Marcus Burke, aged 25, from Clive Road in London, pleaded guilty to one count of dangerous driving, one count of failing to provide a specimen for analysis, one count of failing to stop for police, one count of driving without a licence and one count of driving without insurance at a hearing at Reading Crown Court on Friday (March 5).

Dangerous driver jailed after evading police and crashing into house

 Zishan Ahmed was driving at excess speed in Wexham Road, Slough when he was attempting to evade police.

The 22-year-old of Preston Road, Slough, pleaded guilty to one count of dangerous driving and one count of being above the prescribed alcohol limit for driving at Slough Magistrates’ Court on February 2.

After turning into Knolton Way, Slough, Ahmed crashed into three parked cars and a house, causing damage worth more than £48,000.
