A FORMER mansion gifted from The Queen to Prince Andrew sparked interest from Netflix crews for their popular series Bridgerton.
Back in December 2020, a planning application had been submitted to turn the space into a film set which would resemble a London square and which would be used for up to eight weeks a year for the next five years.

The site where they wanted to build was on land rented at Prince Andrew and Fergie’s former marital home, the Sunninghill Park Estate.
Documents filed to the local council at the time show they wanted to construct a replica Mayfair road, including swanky residences Bridgerton House — home to heroine Daphne — and Featherington House, a shopping arcade, a tea house and a back alley.
Where they are asking to build them is certainly appropriate — it’s on land rented at Prince Andrew and Fergie’s former marital home, the Sunninghill Park Estate.
At the time, residents rejected the plans and said they wouldn't be happy due to the set being built in the green belt, an area of open green space which is protected from building by local and national planning policies.
