This is the question posed by the Bracknell producers of new radio drama ‘Tulips’, produced by the South Hill Park Arts Centre, and running until May 31.
Partially inspired by the cases of Johnny Depp and Caroline Flack, the radio show aims to delve into the stigmas surrounding domestic abuse, both perpetrated and suffered by men.
A spokesman for South Hill Park Arts Centre said: "With record numbers of people asking “am I being abused?” during 2020, and both men and women arguing that their respective genders are being oppressed or treated unfairly, Secret Stories (the theatre company behind the production) feel that questions about gender, domestic abuse and male behaviors are more relevant than ever – with the radio play offering a unique opportunity to hear both sides of the argument.

"But is this the wrong time for it?
"Were critics right to say “One can easily see how this might provoke outrage” (Listomania Bath)?
"The producers want to hear from arts critics, the press and the public – with their feedback potentially influencing the drama’s future."
