A BRACKNELL man has been banned from The Lexicon after stealing items including sweets and toothbrushes from various shops across the town.
Michael Smith, of Mitre Place, Bracknell, stole items worth more than £1,800 from February to March 2021.
The shoplifting spree started on February 22, when he took meat from Co-op worth £45.50.
This continued on March 1, when the 35-year-old stole more meat from Co-op worth £24.85.

Two days later, Smith stole electric toothbrushes worth £600 from Boots.
And on March 7, he took another electric toothbrush from Superdrug, the value of which is unknown.
The stealing didn’t stop there, either -- on March 9, the Bracknell man stole an electric scooter from The Range worth £249.99.
The following day, Smith stole more electric toothbrushes -- this time worth a whopping £800.

His spree came to a conclusion on March 14, when he stole £40 worth of confectionery from Co-op.
Appearing at Reading Magistrates Court on Friday, May 7, the 35-year-old pleaded guilty to eight counts of theft.
He also admitted to one count of assault at the hearing.

Smith will now be sentenced at Slough Magistrates Court in June 2021.
Until this date, he is not allowed to enter The Lexicon in Bracknell, The Peel Centre, or the Co-op on Bywood.
