Police are warning residents about a delivery scam operating in Ascot.
A woman in Ascot became victim to a scam earlier this week after receiving a text message regarding the delivery of her parcel.
The text said they were unable to deliver her package as they had insufficient details on the paperwork. She was also told she had to give her bank details to arrange another delivery date.

Police said she filled in whatever was asked for – including their bank details.
The woman then received a call from a “bank” to say there had been fraudulent use of the account.
The aggrieved then received a phone call from supposedly the bank, to say there had been fraudulent use of the account and they would send a a new card by express, the following Monday.

The aggrieved became suspicious and phoned her actual bank, who confirmed they had not been in contact and it was likely to be a scam.
Police believe the woman may have been the victim of two potential scams, but is very confused and vulnerable at this time.
In light of this incident, Thames Valley Police have sent out a warning to residents over fake delivery scam messages.
They said: "Find a telephone number for whoever had emailed, texted, left a message – form you own records- but do not use any number contained within the message – and ask if they have made contact with you.
"The time this takes, will not be a problem and – if it is really important – they will write to you!"
