THE founder of Go Ape is investigating its safety procedures after a person fell from height at the course in Bracknell.
On Saturday, May 22, a participant using the Treetop Adventure Plus course in Bracknell was hurt.
As a result, Go Ape decided to close all of their adventure courses at 24 other sites as a "precaution."
Tristram Mayhew, founder of Go Ape said the company "deeply regrets" what happened on the weekend.

He said: "This incident has come as a great shock to all of us across the Go Ape family and we deeply regret what happened.
"As the founder, I am personally so sorry that someone has been hurt as a result of participating in an adventure which should have been a wonderful family experience. "

Go Ape said they are "leaning towards a possible product failure" as the cause of the incident.
Adding: “We have identified an immediate and simple safety fix. With the introduction of an additional, safety line to act as an independent secondary back up, we are confident that the same problem cannot happen again."
