Surge vaccinations that are being conducted by the NHS and Wokingham Borough Council have now been opened up to University of Reading students.
Today (Thursday, June 17) students were informed that they could benefit from the surge vaccinations taking place at Bulmershe Leisure Centre in Woodley.
The leisure centre is located in Woodlands Avenue, Woodley (RG5 3EU). Those aged 18-24 can park their cars at the Woodley United FC/University of Reading car park in Woodlands Avenue (postcode: RG6 1FR).
The vaccinations only apply to students aged 18 to 24. Older students and all people aged 25 and over must book a vaccination on the NHS website.

Students must not to visit the vaccination centre at Bulmershe Leisure Centre if they are currently self-isolating or in quarantine following a trip overseas.
Although it is easier to get to the centre by car, those wanting the vaccine can use the Orange 13 and 14 Reading Buses to get to Bulmershe Leisure Centre. The buses run from Reading train station via Cemetery Junction and goes in a circular route around Woodley.
The vaccinations are open to 18-24 year-old students at the University of Reading and all 18-24 year-olds in Wokingham Borough.

The first dose of the Moderna vaccine is being distributed at the centre. Anyone seeking their second dose must book an appointment on the NHS website.
The opening up of the vaccination centre to 18-24 year-old university students follows the expansion of vaccines at the centre to all 18-24 year-olds in Wokingham Borough on Wednesday, June 16.
All activities at the centre have been terminated so that the vaccines can be administered. The surge vaccinations run from 9.30am to 8.30pm each day, up to and including Sunday, June 27.
