A series of big planning applications have been submitted in our area this week.
The biggest of these is a 48 home plan in Warfield, which would see even more homes being built in the suburban village.
In Wokingham, details relating to the conversion of the Nigra Building offices into flats have been submitted.
Elsewhere, developers in Finchampstead have grand designs to replace a current home with a much larger house with its own cinema and gym.

Build of 48 homes after demolition of car service centre in Warfield (21/00592/FUL)
A developer has applied to build 48 homes in the Newell Green area of Warfield.
It is understood that the Warfield MOT and Service Centre will be demolished to make way for the homes, as the service centre falls within the site when viewing the plans.
Once the service centre is demolished, access would be provided from its current entrance from Forest Road and Crozier Lane.
The plan for the 48 homes lies nearby the Orchid Place development, which is currently under construction.
It would also be nearby the Warfield CofE Primary School’s Woodhurst Site, which is a two form primary school with a nursery. Currently, only one form of the school is being used at the moment, with a total of around 210 pupils. Once the second form of the school is opened, it would have capacity for 420 pupils.
Details of conversion of office into 43 flats at Wokingham business park (Wokingham app 212222)
The developers of the Nigra Building at Mulberry Business Park in Wokingham have submitted details for their plan to convert offices into flats.
The details relate to the size of the flats in the building, which used to serve as offices.
The developers won approval to convert the offices into 43 flats in April 2018.
Of the flats, 39 will be one-bedroom and four will be two-bedroom.
Bid to build home office at historic house in Binfield (Wokingham app 211941)
Here, the owners want to build an office in the grounds of Wiltshire Cottage in Binfield.
The cottage is Grade II listed, meaning any additions and changes need to obtain planning consent.
According to the website listedbuildings.co.uk, the home dates back to the 16th century.
The one-storey home office would be built in the garden of the home if the application is approved.
Although the home is in Binfield, it actually falls within the parish of St Nicholas, Hurst, meaning the owners have had to apply to Wokingham Borough Council for planning consent.
Application for four new apartments after demolition of existing house in Crowthorne (21/00594/FUL)
This is a plan to replace the current Elim home in New Road, Crowthorne into four two bedroom apartments.
The apartments would be split into two two-storey small buildings. Each apartment would come with an open plan kitchen and living room area.
The first floor apartment would even have an ensuite for the master bedroom.
Application for replacement home in Finchampstead (Wokingham app 211962)
Here, the owners of the Craigfoot home in Finchampstead want to build a replacement house.
Their current home would be knocked down and replaced with a three storey, four bedroom home.
The owners have grand plans for their new home, which would include a study and games room, a home cinema, a gym and an integrated garage.

All four bedrooms would be ensuite, including a guest bedroom for visitors.
Craigfoot is currently a low standing house with five bedrooms, two of which are ensuite, and it has two garages.
Curiously, the applicants already have planning permission for what their agents call “an almost identical application” approved in March 2020 (plan reference 200470) with changes to the entrance porch, amendments to the rear of the house and glazing in the plan.
