A DEAD rabbit was discovered in a crate dumped in a pond in Bracknell.
RSPCA inspectors were called by a concerned vet after a passerby saw a cat carrier floating in a pond in Westmorland Park, Bracknell.
The shocking discovery was made on Wednesday, July 14, at 9.50pm where the rabbit was found in the water in a cat carrier wrapped in a dark blue towel.
Malwina Gasiorek, RSPCA Inspector, who is investigating for the animal welfare charity, believes the rabbit was already dead before being thrown into the pond in the cage.

She said: “Vets noted the rabbit had severely overgrown incisors, possible bruising under the left eye and a small skin mass on a hind leg. "The rabbit was found wrapped in a towel and we suspect it might have been dead before being thrown into the pond in the cage."
The owners are no where to be found due to the rabbit having no microchip.
The RSPCA said they are hoping to find out more information.
