A RUBBISH collector was rushed to hospital yesterday after cutting himself on broken glass.
The waste operative was injured after picking up a blue rubbish bag with unwrapped broken glass inside.
Wokingham Borough Council said he was taken to hospital in an ambulance after getting injured from the glass.

Residents have been told to wrap broken glass safely before putting it inside a rubbish bag.
This will prevent waste collectors from getting injured during their shifts in the future.

The council said: "This morning one of our waste collectors was injured by unwrapped broken glass in a blue rubbish bag. This resulted in him getting taken to hospital in an ambulance.
"If you have broken glass, wrap it up safely before putting it out with your rubbish. Keep our waste collectors safe."
