Bosses of a well-known gym have revealed when to expect the opening of the branch in Bracknell.
PureGym, which runs 288 gyms nationwide, was announced as one of the tenants in Princess Square in November 2019.
Princess Square is an indoor shopping centre opened by Princess Anne in 1984, and now forms part of The Lexicon shopping centre in Bracknell.
PureGym was first expected to open before Christmas in 2019, but was delayed. Rob Morris, the general manager of The Lexicon, later said that the gym was “anticipated” to open in Autumn of 2020.
Some 10 months down the line, PureGym remains unopened.

While the gym will definitely open in Princess Square, gym goers have a bit longer to wait.
A spokesperson on behalf of the company said: “PureGym is excited to be opening in Bracknell soon.
“The new gym in Princess Square shopping centre will be spread across 12,000sq ft and will cater for everyone’s exercise needs with fixed pin and free weights areas, a variety of cardio machines, a functional area and a studio.
“We hope to be open by the end of the year and look forward to welcoming new and existing members.”
Photos from Princess Square taken by Bracknell resident Rob Francis show the progress that has been made.
Mr Francis attempted to get pictures inside the unit, which show vast empty space. No workers could be seen in the unit when he took the photos.
PureGym is currently offering memberships for £12.99 per month for a core membership at the gym in Bracknell for the first six months ‘for a limited time.’
Core memberships typically cost £22.99 per month (both come with a £15 joining fee). After six months, the cost of membership will go back up to £22.99 per month.
As the gym is located within Princess Square, it will not be open 24 hours, with parking costed from £3 for up to three hours.
