The following cases were heard at Reading and Slough Magistrates’ Courts:

July 5
ALEXANDRU OLAR, 23, of Nine Mile Ride, Wokingham, admitted to driving without insurance and driving whilst disqualified on Easthampstead Road in Wokingham on October 9, 2020. Also admitted to failing to surrender at Reading Magistrates’ Court on November 27, 2020. Sentenced to prison for 16 weeks due to the severity of the offence, as defendant has repeatedly offended when disqualified. Ordered to pay a £128 victim surcharge. 

July 6
TOBY GARDE, 56, of Moor Close, Sandhurst, admitted resisting a police constable in the execution of their duty. Given a conditional discharge for 12 months and ordered to pay court fees of £107. 
CHARLIE BURGESS, 24, of Blagrove Drive, Wokingham, admitted to two counts of possession of ketamine and one count of possession of cannabis in Wokingham in June and September 2020. Offences committed during term of suspended sentence. Sentenced to 16 weeks in prison. Ordered to pay £213 in court fees. 
CHARLIE BROWN, 33, of Warwick, Bracknell, admitted driving whilst disqualified and without insurance on London Road, Bagshot, on April 23, 2021. Banned from driving for nine months, fined £450 and ordered to pay £130 in court fees. 
PHILIP SMITH, 60, of College Road, Sandhurst, convicted of speeding on a 30mph road, namely Finchampstead Road, Wokingham, going at 46mph, on May 27, 2019. Driving record endorsed with six points. Fined £440 and ordered to pay court fees of £129. 
JASON EDWARDS, 44, of Upper Broadmoor Road, Crowthorne, admitted assault by beating on December 29, 2020. Ordered to pay compensation of £100.
