A SCHOOL in Winnersh has had its Ofsted rating rise following the latest inspectors report, after being visited by the organisation three times in the same year.
The Forest School, an all-boys school with a mixed Sixth-form in Winnersh, was rated 'good' in the latest inspection report after previously being rated as 'requires improvement'.

According to the school, the first visit was a remote monitoring inspection on March 30, the second was an in school face-to-face monitoring inspection on June 29, where the inspectors deemed a full inspection was required as they felt the previous judgement no longer fitted.
Ofsted then returned for the third time, conducting a full inspection from July 6 to July 7.
The inspection concluded that the overall quality of education, the behaviour and attitudes, personal development, leadership and management, and Sixth Form provision were all of a 'good' standard, stating: "Leaders have made significant improvements to the content of the curriculum.
"Subject leaders have recast their planning thoroughly. There is a clear emphasis on what they want pupils to learn. Teachers consistently make sure that pupils develop the necessary skills well."
The report did however detail that the school should improve on broadening the curriculum for key stage 3 students, and that "while many teachers are covering the necessary content, a more systematic approach is required to ensure that all pupils build even more securely on their knowledge."

Headteacher, Shirley Austin, said: “I am incredibly proud of the journey we have taken over the last four years, since I arrived.
"Our families have engaged with my vision and been fantastic. Those families deserve this recognition alongside the staff who have worked with me.
"I have firmly believed that we have been an excellent school for some time; with exceptional teaching and learning options, superb student facilities and a committed, professional body of staff who engage and challenge students.
"I am delighted that Ofsted visited us to validate what we believed."
