A VILLAGE in Bracknell is among those with the highest Covid case rates in the borough - with infections soaring significantly.
Latest Public Health England figures show that Sandhurst has seen the highest rates with cases at 459.6 per 100,000 people.
This is compared to the rest of the Bracknell Forest borough, where the average rate of infection - across more than 340 neighbourhood areas - is currently 253.7 cases per 100,000 people, significantly lower.

It comes as local authorities are still publishing guidance urging people to act “carefully and remain cautious” as cases continue to rise.
The Bracknell News analysis of the latest figures show how areas including Birch Hill & Hanworth East, Great Hollands, Binfield & Popeswood and Wick Hill had also seen the highest rates in the past week.
The figures, which cover the seven days to September 22, compared with the week before, show how hundreds of new cases had been reported between them in just several days, pushing up the rate of infection.
The infection rate is worked out by looking at the number of cases and the population in each neighbour area, which contain an average of 7,000 people.

Public Health England then look at this to identify the potential hotspots, seeing where exactly high percentages of the population have tested positive.
In Bracknell Forest, there are four neighbourhood areas where the Covid rates are among the highest and are currently all tracking above 300 cases per 100,000 people.

Central Bracknell & Wildridings
Covid infection rate: 343.4 cases per 100,000 people
Number of cases this week: 40 (up 21 from week before)
Great Hollands
Covid infection rate: 356.9 cases per 100,000 people
Number of cases this week: 42 (up 20 from week before)
Sandhurst
Covid infection rate: 459.6 cases per 100,000 people
Number of cases this week: 31 (up 14 from week before)
Bullbrook
Covid infection rate: 336.6 cases per 100,000 people
Number of cases this week: 35 (up 21 from week before)
Other areas in Bracknell reporting an increase in Covid cases from the last seven days are: Birch Hill & Hanworth East (17 cases, up by 5), Priestwood (18 cases, up by 1), Crowthorne South (18 cases, up by 4), Wick Hill (29 cases, up by 9).
