AN ASSAULT of a woman in Bracknell has spurred a police appeal for witnesses this week.

At around 03:30am to 04:00am on Tuesday, October 12, two females were chased by a male in the Crown Wood and Birch Hill areas of Bracknell.

The females were chased across the Bagshot Road onto Ringmead in Birch Hill, where one of the females was then assaulted, thankfully sustaining no injury.

Thames valley Police believe this to be an isolated incident with no wider risk to the public and believe the male is known to the victim.

A 32-year-old male from Bracknell has been arrested on suspicion of assault and is currently released on bail.

Investigating Officer PC Clayton 1399 of Loddon Valley Police Station said: “I am appealing to anyone who may have witnessed this incident to come forward.

“I’d also appeal to anyone with dash-cams who were in the local area at the time to please check any footage in case it may have captured something that could assist with the investigation.
