Home Bargains is gearing up to open in Bracknell.
The chain bargain store will be opening in February next year, and in preparation for that, it has applied for advertising consent and to make internal changes to the former Next unit it will occupy.
Elsewhere in Bracknell, there is a plan to convert a dental surgery and three bedroom home into a six bedroom House of Multiple Occupation (HMO).
In Wokingham, an application for 95 homes has been submitted at an equestrian centre on the outskirts of the town.

Home Bargains preparing to open in Bracknell (21/00869/FUL)
Home Bargains is getting ready to open in The Peel Centre.
It will take over the unit vacated by Next, and is set to open its doors on Saturday, February 26, 2022.
But prior that, Home Bargains is making internal modifications to the unit to create a mezzanine floor with two toilets, presumably for staff. You can see plans for the changes in the gallery above.
A covering letter to the application states Home Bargains want to create “a modern unit with a high-quality new shop front which includes a new shopfront and lobby.
“This will improve the existing unit and ensure it is fit for occupation by Home Bargains.”
Closure of dentists and conversion into HMO (21/00823/FUL)
The owners of 129 Binfield Road in Bracknell have applied to close the dentist surgery there and convert it into a House of Multiple Occupation (HMO).
The house currently has the dentist surgery on the ground floor, with three bedrooms on the first floor of the house for an occupying family.
The ground floor also provides the living quarters for the family, which include a kitchen room, a dining room, and a living room.

Now, the owners want to convert the house into a six bedroom HMO.
There would be three bedrooms, two showers, a shared kitchen and dining room on the ground floor.
Upstairs, the three current bedrooms would remain largely unchanged, and the current bathroom would be retained as well.
95 homes plan for Wokingham equestrian land (Wokingham app 211033)
Developers have applied to build 95 homes on land south of Waterloo Road in Wokingham Without, with the site being bound to the east by Old Wokingham Road.
It involves demolishing the Claremont Equestrian Centre and replacing it with the houses, with a new road providing access to Old Wokingham Road.
The applicant is seeking outline permission for the development.
Matters such as the housing breakdown will be decided at a later date, but the developer has committed to making 35 per cent of the new homes affordable.
The plan, which first surfaced in March, has finally been validated on Wokingham Borough Council’s planning portal.
Five new homes plan in Swallowfield (Wokingham app 213380)
Here, the developers have submitted a new plan for the Balcombe Nursery garden centre in Basingstoke Road, Swallowfield.
The developers have submitted three previous plans for the five homes on the site, planning references 173726, 182370 and 193356, all of which have been approved.
However, the developers have adapted their plans.
They want to build one four-bedroom and four five-bedroom homes on the site.
