THREE puppies have been found abandoned and ‘not in a good condition’ in Silver Hill near Sandhurst.
The dogs were discovered on Monday, October 18 by two different members of the public in the wet and the cold.
Following their discovery, the dogs were taken to Nine Mile Veterinary Hospital in Finchampstead where they needed ‘a lot of veterinary attention’, according to the Public Protection Partnership.

Fortunately, the pups were well enough to be moved on to a trusted rescue centre where they will be looked after until they are ready to find a new forever home.
A spokesperson for the PPP -- the body that looks after public health and animal welfare in Bracknell Forest -- said they have noticed an increase in the number of dogs that have been used for breeding and puppies being abandoned.
They said: “If you are considering buying a puppy please follow some simple guidelines to put a stop to the mistreatment of bitches and puppies:
• Always see a puppy and their mum together at their home and make sure to visit more than once.

• Research the breeder. Are they licensed? Any person who breeds more than three litters a year, and/or sells the puppies with a view to making a profit will need a licence.
• Never pay a deposit up-front without seeing the puppy in person.
• Ask lots of questions and make sure you see all vital paperwork, such as a puppy contract - which gives lots of information about their parents, breed, health, diet, the puppy's experiences and more.
• Reputable breeders will be asking you lots of questions too. They will want to make sure their puppy is going to a good, safe home. If they’re not asking you questions about your home, lifestyle etc. then re-think if they’re a genuine breeder.

• Consider a rescue dog. There are many, many dog rescue centres across the UK with thousands of rescue dogs looking for a home. All dogs will have had a health check and as much background information as possible will be provided by the rescue centre.
