A WARNING has been sent by a local family after a Bracknell Forest Covid-stricken youngster was taken to hospital for critical care.
Bracknell Forest Council posted a picture of Ciara, who is 12, on their social media channels which shows a distressing image of the girl on a ventilator.
She was initially taken to Royal Berkshire Hospital after suffering from Covid-19 and strep pneumonia but was taken to John Radcliffe hospital in Oxford after her condition worsened.

“This is our Ciara. She's 12 years old and she’s been in John Radcliffe Hospital intubated and sedated because of COVID and Strep pneumonia, she was very critical there since last Monday!
“This picture was at RBH before being blue lighted to Oxford JR. The JR pictures of Ciara are too distressing to post.
“She couldn’t have any visitors including her parents.
“It's heartbreaking for her parents and family. 12 years old and couldn’t have her parents hold her hand and kiss her better like any parent would do if their child is sick.
“This isn’t nice for any parent, COVID is still rife and now hitting the younger generation.
“We’re trying to raise awareness, please look at her and look out for your children.”
As of November 12, the rate of infection in Bracknell Forest now stands at 12,632 cases per 100,000 people, lower than the England average of 14,239.
A total of 15,684 people had been confirmed as testing positive for Covid-19 in Bracknell Forest since the start of the pandemic when the UK coronavirus daily dashboard was updated on November 12 (Friday), up from 15,610 on Thursday.
