Wokingham’s Christmas tree has been set up in Market Place, as the town moves closer to the festive season.
The Town Council have already started putting up Christmas lights elsewhere which they said will all be switched on in “the coming days”.
“The tree is up and it's a beauty. Waiting for all things sparkly now,” posted Wokingham Town Council on Facebook.

“Wokingham always looks so pretty at night in the run up to Christmas with the lights adding a nice little sparkle to the evening whether you are out walking, enjoying the many restaurants and pubs or driving through.”
The news comes as Wokingham’s first ever ice-skating rink is set to open in just over a week.
It will be popping up in Cantley Park alongside the town’s first Christmas Market from November 24.
The market will include outdoor huts adorned in festive garlands with festoon lighting and a variety of local vendors selling arts, crafts and food.
