A DRIVER has been fined hundreds of pounds and given points on their licence for driving at 50mph on the motorway.
Stephen Curling, 48, appeared in Buckinghamshire Magistrates' Court for speeding on the M4 near Slough.
Although the maximum speed on the motorway is usually 70mph, the limit has been reduced to 50mph/60mph on some stretches of the road while works to upgrade it to a smart motorway are carried out.
