THE LOGOS of Berkshire's local council authorities have been ranked in a rather hilarious way.
Graphic designer Robin Wilde has compiled a lengthy list ranking 399 council emblems – with the Royal county's council logos not even making it to the top of the pile.
The design, originality and technical execution have all been factored into the way each logo has been ranked - so how does your council logos fare?
With 399 local authorities in the list, Slough ranked 358th for its lack of design.

Mr Wilde said: "Slough has the fundamental problem that it has become a punchline, despite being a perfectly respectable commuter town housing much of Britain’s technology industry.
"That means coming up with anything that tries to make it look pleasant or exciting will be scoffed at, so they’ve come up with this incredibly safe logo that can appear on a council tax bill without you ever noticing it’s there."
In neighbouring town Windsor and Maidenhead, RBWM's council logo has been branded as the "we’re posh” campaign
He described the emblem as looking like a "sign outside a spa resort."
Wokingham Borough Council's logo is a little more fun with a "lion that is going to whack you with an oar. Or start a fire with a match."
Mr Wilde thinks this logo should go to the "landfill" and ranked it in 309th place.
Reading scored a little bit better with a ranking of 138th place.

He said: "I quite like how this could either be a triangular jigsaw or some sort of Nordic rune, and I don’t care to check which it is. Not innovative, but the main device is arresting enough to be"
Bracknell Forest council's logo was classed as "solidly okay" despite it looking like any other.
Summing up his thoughts, Mr Wilde said: "Another day, another deer logo for a council. I suppose it’s not politically contentious to like deer. Unless you’re playing to the lion constituency. Anyway, good linework and an inoffensive choice of fonts and colours make this solidly okay."
Finally, West Berkshire ranks 273rd place and the graphic designer praised the 'innovative font work'.
However, he believes combining the letters E and K was "a mistake".
He said: "Absent that, it’s a bog standard crest n’ text."
