A man has been fined hundreds of pounds after breaking lockdown rules at a public gathering in Sandhurst.
With Omicron fears and Covid-19 cases continuing to rise at an 'exponential' rate, new restrictions on face masks have been introduced, and potential rules on working from home have also been touted.
Coronavirus is on the rise in Berkshire again, with 780 new COVID-19 cases diagnosed on Tuesday.
New rules will come into effect on Monday, at a time when the Government has been criticised for having a Christmas party when London was placed in Tier 3.

As the risk of infection grows again, it makes it even more crucial for the public to follow the rules and keep the community safe.
Jamie Tilbury from Aldershot appeared at Oxford Magistrates' Court for breaching the Tier 4 lockdown rules near the start of 2021.
The 20-year-old man from Eland Road, Aldershot, was fined £1,760 and ordered to pay £176 in costs after he breached the Tier 4 lockdown restrictions.

On March 5, Jamie took part in a gathering of two or more people in the Tesco Meadows car park in Sandhurst – breaching the lockdown rules.
Tilbury was found guilty to the offence on September 10.
He was ordered to pay in £2,026 total by October 8.
