COVID case numbers are still a mixed bag across Berkshire – but the Omicron variant continues to spread across the region.
The Government data map shows that in the seven days to December 11, all six of the Berkshire boroughs reported an increase in cases.
This is compared to the week before; the latest data available.
On Wednesday, December 15, Berkshire recorded 1,274 cases. This is a case rate of 623.2 per 100,000 people.
In the seven days to December 11, the county recorded 5,776 cases.

However, some areas reported a decrease in cases. These areas included West Berkshire at 862 cases, down by 16.6 per cent - lowering the case rate to 544.0 per 100,000 people.
