Binfield’s Lighthouse programme has partnered with a local food tech company with the aim to provide free meals to those in need this festive period.

The initiative, which was started by the Berkshire based company ‘Cook My Grub’ is expected to provide 200 meals in this year’s charity drive.

For every £25 spent on the ‘Cook My Grub’ app, the company are dedicated to delivering one home cooked meal to Binfield Lighthouse programme to help the vulnerable this season.

Cook my Grub is an online marketplace that connects home-based chefs with local communities. The newly bespoke Christmas service delivers home-made festive foods and Christmas dinners straight to your home.

The company has said that they are delighted to be partnering with a number of outstanding charities, including the Binfield Lighthouse Programme.

The value that having a hearty, healthy home-cooked meal should never be underestimated, and we hope our Buy to Give initiative helps those in need at what can be a particularly challenging time of year.”
