Conversion of offices into flats in Peach Street (Wokingham app 214184)
Danobe Securities Ltd, which owns 43-47 Peach Street, has applied to convert the current offices into 24 flats.
The majority of the flats, 22, would be formed in the first and second floors of number 43, with the two other flats made on the first floor of number 47.
The ground floor of number 45 would be made into a residential foyer.
Of the flats, 10 would be one-bedroom, 10 would be two-bedroom, and four would have three bedrooms.
Future residents would make use of 16 car parking spaces, two motorbikes bays, and two cycle parking stores, which would be contained in an undercroft.
Number 45 is a Grade II listed building known as The Forge, which used to serve as a smithy.
Numbers 43 and 47 were built around it.
A previous plan to convert the buildings into flats, application 203527 failed in May 2021 due to a lack of affordable housing, lack of an employment skills plan, and substandard amenity for future occupants.
In August that year, prior approval was given to convert 47 Peach Street into 27 flats.
