Wands are at the ready this week as Bracknell Forest marks the 25th anniversity of Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone .
In libraries throughout the borough, children and adults alike will be taken on a magical journey to celebrate a night of witches, wizards and muggles from throughout the world.
Visitors will be travelling on the night bus, taking a Floo journey and witnessing a vanishing act in their mock-up vanishing cabinets.
With fancy dress strongly encouraged, the four venues will be facilitating ‘enchanting’ magical games, ‘spellbinding’ crafts and ‘bewitching’ activities throughout the night.
Sharon Cripps, the area supervisor said: “We’ve tried to be aware of Covid regulations so most of our event are sold out already. We now have a waiting list for people who cancel.
“At the moment we have around 18 children coming to the Crowthorne library and Bracknell Library is sold out.”
“We hold these events every year but because this is Harry Potters 25th anniversary we are hoping it will be extra special.”
Bracknell Library, Crowthorne Library, Great Hollands Library and Whitegrove Library will be hosting these nights aside Bloomsbury publishers.
