A BOY was robbed in Bracknell while walking to town with his friend. At 2.20pm on Sunday, February 6,tw o 14-year-old boys were walkin g from Bracknelltrai n station through the underpass towards the Lexicon Shopping Centre with tw o men walking in front of them.

The men stop ped but the victim and his frien d carried on. Police said the robber grabbed the boy’ s face from behind, demanding his Gucci designer bag. As the victim resisted he was hitin the back of the head and had his bag taken from him along with some Hugo Boss aftershave and other personal items.

The rob bers then ran off. The victim suffered a minor injury to his right eye and swelling to his forehead , but did not require hospitaltreatment. The mai n attacker is described as white , aged about 25 and around 6 ft 2 inches tall.

TWO men are in hospital after being stabbed in the face and neck in a fightin Wokingham. At around 3am on Sunday, February 13,two victims, both young men, leftthe Gig House in Denmark Street,to catch a taxi.

They were then involved in a fight which resulted in both of the victims being stabbed. The victims were taken to Royal Berkshire Hospitalfor further treatment, where they both remain.

The force said that a 23-yearold man from Frimley has been arrested on suspicion of possession of a bladed article in a public place, using threatening and abusive language to cause harassment, and attempting to cause GBH with intent. A 23-year-old man from Wokingham has also been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.

Detective Constable Yong Chung said: “This assault happened in the early hours of the morning and I am confidentthat someone will have witnessed what happened so I am appealing to anybody who saw this to getin touch with police.

A NEW £99 million state-of-the-art hospital is on track to be opened to patients at Heatherwood at the end of next month. The centre for nonemergency care has been built behind the site of the existing Heatherwood Hospital, which has been the home of a hospital in Ascot for over a century.

The facility will welcome local residents across Berkshire, Surrey and Hampshire and act as a one-stop service for many patients with the aim to reduce the number of visits they need to make to the hospital.

The 11,500-square-metre facility will support both NHS and private patients and procedures. It is said that its target is to treat twice the number of patients compared to the existing hospital by 2025. Frimley Health’s
