Tesco staff have worked to rescue a shocked driver that was crushed in their car by a falling tree earlier today.
The incident occurred at Tesco’s Car Park, Whitton at 10:25am this morning when a tree fell onto the car's roof.
A Twitter post commented: “Driver had a very lucky escape from injury. It could have been so much worse.Well done @Tesco."

Tesco commented: “Wow! I hope that you and everyone else are ok, that must have been a real fright! Can you let me know what the colleagues did if you can a description and I'll make sure the recognition gets back to them!”
