REAL ale drinkers in Wokingham and Bracknell nominated the best pub and who deserves the accolade for the best club.
One pub in Wokingham was handed the Berkshire South-East CAMRA Pub of the Year award and one local club was named Club of the Year.
The Berkshire South-East CAMRA Pub of the Year and Club of the Year was voted for by all CAMRA members registered with the branch. The pubs that made the cut were shortlisted based on ‘WhatPub’ scoring - which is carried out by any CAMRA member visiting pubs during the year.

Each regional winner goes forward into the national competition to find Britain’s Best Pub. The overall winner is announced during National Pubs Week the following February.

Club of the Year award - Binfield Club
Each year the Berkshire South-East branch of CAMRA awards a Club of the Year at an Open Meeting early in the year.
The criteria for winning the award is the club must open for the majority of permitted hours and not be restricted to limited opening hours, he club must allow access to members of the public, he club must sell and support real ale, the club should satisfy criteria for minimum Beer Scoring and a minimum number of beer scorers during the preceding 12 months.
The club should, where possible, be involved in community activities.

Community Pub of the Year - Ship Inn, Wokingham
Other finalists were the Hope & Anchor, Wokingham and the White Horse, Wokingham Without.
