The congregation at a Wokingham church have come together in prayer for the safety of the people living and escaping Ukraine.
All Saints Church has opened a book of messages in their vestibule for members of the community to come and pay their respects.
On Sunday, March 6, people could be seen arriving to write messages of love and kindness.
Rector of All Saints Church, David Hodgson said: "We just wanted to provide a space for people to come and express their feelings about the situation.
"We thought about online but we felt this was a more concrete way to put messages out there."
Messages included: “Pray for Alesya Bezeyko, currently trying to make her way from Kiev to Poland. Pray for her safety and for all Ukrainians.”
Another one said: “Our thoughts, prayers and hope are for all the people of Ukraine and those in Russia who are saddened and against the attacks. Amen.”
