UK petrol prices have continued to hit record highs this week, putting pressure on motorists and adding to UK cost of living.
Due to tensions between the UK and Russia following the Ukraine invasion, chain petrol retailers are said to be profiteering off stubbornly high oil prices.
Rising gas prices are therefore influencing the cost of inflation throughout the UK.
When fuel prices started to rise on February 13, RAC fuel spokesman Simon Williams said: “Both petrol and diesel reached new record levels yesterday. Unleaded is nearly 149.5p a litre and diesel almost 153p.
Almost a month later in Bracknell Forest, the most expensive unleaded petrol in the area is 163.9p and diesel is 173.9p, with prices rising by 12p if you prefer premium.
RAC said: “These have contributed to a cost of living surge in the UK and helped to push inflation to a 30-year high.
“Small measures motorists can take to save fuel include car-sharing, cutting out short journeys, reducing speeds and driving as smoothly as possible by not braking and accelerating too quickly.”
Due to ever changing fuel prices throughout Bracknell Forest, the Bracknell News has rounded together the cheapest prices in Bracknell and Wokingham.
