A Batmobile was spotted in Wokingham on Monday.

Though it was unclear if the caped crusader was driving, residents reported feeling more at ease believing he may be patrolling Market Place and other streets in the town.

"We saw it yesterday and felt reassured that Wokingham was in the hands of Batman," posted Rachael Floyd on Facebook.

Marla White wrote: "Love it! Always makes us smile."

Unsurprisingly, the Batman could not be contacted for comment.

The news comes a week after The Batman, featuring Robert Pattinson, hit cinema screens.
