A proposal has been put forward to merge two schools on to one site for “organisational and financial reasons.”
The governing board of Warfield C of E Primary School in Bracknell has suggested migrating the All Saints site to the Woodhurst site, from September 1 this year.
The Woodhurst site opened five years ago but has empty classrooms under the current arrangements.
A period of consultation has begun to get residents views before confirming whether the plans will go ahead.

The consultation will run until May 5, after which an executive member of Bracknell Forest Council will make a decision by the end of May.
Should the proposal pass, the board claims the merger will “enhance the learning experience” of students and “safeguard the long-term viability of the school’s finances.”
Bracknell Forest Council leader, Councillor Paul Bettison, said: “Warfield CE Primary currently has space for three classes each year across two sites but in reality it is operating just two full classes across two sites.
“This doesn’t make financial or educational sense, so the plan is to move all pupils to the larger, more modern Woodhurst.
“This will provide a better learning environment for all pupils, provide greater access to equipment and specialist teachers and reduce the pressure on the school’s budget. It will also create a unified school under one roof.”

Critics have called it an “example of poor planning by the council and overbuilding primary school facilities.”
A public meeting to provide further information will be held on March 31 at Brownlow Hall in Warfield from 6-7:30pm.
