THAMES Valley Police say they are aware of a suggestion an incident in Crowthorne’s Lidl is linked to TikTok.

This comes after a trio of women threw a bag of flour over a man’s head at the High Street store at around 6.35pm on February 22.

The victim and another man tried to stop the girls from leaving the store after they fled in a silver Ford Focus.

After reversing it hit the second man, in his twenties, before driving away. The victims sustained minor injuries but did not require hospital treatment.

The force released CCTV images of the three women wanted in connection with the incident.

Following their appeal, there have been rumours circulating on social media that the incident was filmed for a TikTok ‘prank’.

It has not been confirmed if this is accurate, but Thames Valley Police said they were aware of a popular short video app.

A spokesperson said: “We are aware of the TikTok suggestion.

“There haven’t been any arrests and we are still appealing for the those pictured to come forward or if anyone knows who they are to let us know.”

Investigating officer, PC Kerrie King, based at Loddon Valley police station, said: “I’d ask anyone who recognises the individuals in the CCTV images, or if you are pictured, to please come forward.
