Bracknell shoppers were seen showing their appreciation for Berkshire fire service this past weekend as their recruits rowed for charity.
On Saturday April 2, local recruits of the Royal Berkshire fire and rescue service took to their rowing machines within the Lexicon in Bracknell.
Between 9am to 5pm, their goal was to row the length of the Thames to raise money and ensure the continued work of this amazing charity.
13 recruits could be seen dressed in their uniform participating in the event.
This occurred just before the annual Oxford and Cambridge boat race returned this year to the 4.2 mile tidal stretch of the River Thames in south-west London.
This year was the 76th women’s race and the 167th men’s race to take place in the history of the competition.
