A new section of a road is opening today after a 'frustrating period of closures' in Wokingham as part of the Nine Mile Ride Extension project.
Wokingham Borough Council announced the newly redirected section of road between the junctions of Hogwood Lane and Nine Mile Ride will reopen at around midday on Wednesday, April 27.
The authority says this marks a period of 'frustrating closures' on Park Lane which will hopefilly improve journey times in the long run.
Two more stages of the North Wokingham Distributor Road are set to open in the week commencing Monday, May 9.
These are to the west of Old Forest Road and a section of Toutley Road, to the west of Queen's Road.
