Leader of the Bracknell Forest Council, Councillor Paul Bettison, said: “I have been thrilled to hear how residents are already planning how to celebrate this momentous occasion. However you like to celebrate, there are a string of exciting events in the borough for you to take part in.
“Her Majesty The Queen is the first British monarch to celebrate a Platinum Jubilee. Her own history and relationship with the borough is well known. She officially opened The Lexicon four years ago and has visited us on many occasions over the years.
“Such an occasion provides the perfect backdrop to come together as a community. It gives us all a chance to enjoy some of the interactions we have been missing over a tough couple of years.
“There will be something for everyone in Bracknell Forest as we head towards The Platinum Jubilee. And congratulations to Her Majesty The Queen on her landmark reign.”
