An ambitious fashion designer from Bracknell has been the lucky winner of a new BBC three programme ‘The Drop’.
The streetwear competition, featuring Grammy Award winning artist Michuel, had 10 of Britain’s most promising creatives go head-to-head for the chance to have their first line stocked in UK retailer, Flannels.
Kemi Danielle Gbadebo, said that she started her streetwear design business one year ago in her parents dining room.
On the new BBC Three series, Kemi said: “The other two are such strong designers and such strong businesswomen and to be given a chance like this, it is genuinely going to change my life.”
Miguel commented on screen following the winning announcement: “It was about who’s story could elevate other people and offer some kind of message of change and created the kind of belief that we need from each and every one of the new creatives watching.
“I’m a firm believer that when you put your heart into something and it comes from a pure place, it always gets to where it should go.
“Kemi represents all the belief that it requires to build a new tomorrow. I’m so proud that we could use this platform to help give her a voice.”
