Throughout the last 20 years many bars and nightclubs have come and gone in Bracknell.
Former nightclubbers looked back over the years at the long-forgotten night’s out after we posed the question of what the best nightclubs were back in the hay day.
Although many people chose to travel further afield for their escapades, some of the night-time haunts brought back memories among residents.
Oceans, which readers commented on was underneath a carpark and infamous in the mid 80s to late 80s. Apparently it wasn’t uncommon to find the odd police van parked outside on a Saturday night
Masquerades was once upon a time one of the best nights out in Bracknell. Many remember this as a mid to late 90’s night out. The infamous nightclub apparently lost it’s licence in 2003.
‘The Point’ night-club was also said to be a regular stop-in for stars before their big break. In a previous post, one reader said they saw the members of ‘Take That’ coming out of the Bracknell club.
Although not a head-banging night-club, Friscos was known to our readers as a ‘pre-drinking place’ perfect to get ready for a night on the town.
For head-banging, cheap drinks and sticky floors, Pantiles in Bagshot may sound familiar for those who strayed a little outside the town.
Back in the day, this was the place to be if you wanted to see stand-out acts. In the late 90’s, singers such as Sir Elton John and Fleetwood Mac once performed on their stage.
This club opened it’s doors in 1967 and 40 years on in 2007, the DJ played it’s last tune.
