Plans to build two new homes on vacant land in Sandhurst have been approved by Bracknell Forest Council.
The scheme, which will see the erection of two three-bedroom semi-detached houses on the land to the rear of 78 college road, received unanimous approval at the recent planning committee meeting.
The site, which was previously used as a residential garden but has been vacant for several years, fronts the residential road, The Breech – although the new houses will be set further back from the road.

The plan was approved despite receiving objections from neighbours, including those at six, seven and eight, The Breech. Some of which felt that the site should “remain undeveloped.”
Resident of 8, The Breech, John Murphy, complained that the new homes “will overlook existing properties on The Breech plus the side of window will directly overlook my garden” and “reduce the amenity level for the current residents.”
The existing house numbering on the road starts at five, suggesting the new properties will be numbered three and four, The Breech.
As well as the new homes, each comprising 105 sqm of habitable space, the submission outlines the design of a new drive and dropped kerb – allowing side-by-side parking spaces for two cars.
