Wokingham residents are being warned after bogus cold callers have been calling on behalf of the council.
The bogus company have been calling residents supposedly on behalf of Wokingham Borough Council to carrying out free home repairs.
A warning has been issued by the Public Protection Partnership on their website to be aware and check with the local council before letting someone into your property.

Homeowners have been told not to use any phone numbers provided by the cold caller, look up the telephone number independently to double check the information is correct and report the matter to trading standards if you do come across these callers.
Officials are hoping to gather as much information as possible, including vehicle details, descriptions of callers, telephone numbers, addresses or leaflets.
