Racegoers from across the UK will be readying themselves for the ultimate summer British event of the year. From exquisite fashion, exhilarating races, and magnificent culinary experiences, there truly is something for everyone.
For the droves of revellers descending on the famous racecourse from June 14 – June 18 we have put together a list of what is happening in the different Ascot enclosures.
This includes resident DJ’s, classic food vendors and brand-new pop-up restaurants.
Royal Enclosure
Wheeler's of St. James’s by Marco Pierre White
The Smokehouse in the Royal Enclosure will be taken over by the godfather of modern cooking Marco Pierre White in a brand-new collaboration.
Royal Enclosure attendees will have the pleasure of experiencing his impeccable French, British and Italian dishes in the shadow of the Old Paddock.
Bookings for the Smokehouse are needed in advance due to a limited number of walk-in spaces available on the day.
The Grill at The Dorchester
This new pop-up has been designed to create an oasis for guests away from the high energy action trackside. The Dorchester pop-up will be located in the Mill-Reef Garden within the Royal Enclosure.
Head Chef Tom Booton has created a bespoke five-course tasting menu which focuses on a vibrant and fresh style of cooking.
Queen Anne Enclosure
1768 GRILL BY GAUCHO AND AFTERNOON TEA BY ERIC LANLARD
This brand-new culinary experience is located in both the Queen Anne and the Royal Enclosure. The 1768 Grill have partnered with Gaucho to offer guests the chance to taste the best steak in the world.
Master Pâtissier and owner of Cake Boy London, Eric Lanlard, has also curated a range of stunning luxurious Afternoon Teas available from 2:45pm. Pre-booked lunches have now SOLD OUT but there will be a limited number of tables available on the day. Bookings still available for afternoon tea by Eric Lanlard and walk-ins will be accepted
New Mindful Bar from Harrogate Spring
This year, Harrogate Spring is launching the first ever ‘Mindful Bar’ at Royal Ascot, serving their award[1]winning water and a selection of delicious low and no cocktails. Look out for the ‘Excelebration Mindful Bar by Harrogate Spring’ in the Queen Anne Enclosure
The Village Enclosure
Singer and Presenter Marvin Humes will be resident DJ in the Village Enclosure for three nights, with supporting acts including The Nines, Empire of Sound and Furnace and the Fundamentals.
There will also be a number of special acts roaming the enclosure and situated at the Village Bandstand.
Alongside epic horse racing and live entertainment, Village Enclosure racegoers will find a unique range of on-the-go food options with this year’s street vendors including Duck Shed, Hermanos Taco House, El Pollote, Tamaki Bros and Nha Trang Kitchen.
Neutro
This is a new concept restaurant launched this year that is bringing Ascot into the 21st century. It is the racecourses first net zero restaurant that will operate by producing minimal carbon emissions.
Efforts to reduce and/or eliminate carbon emissions include using locally sourced produce with a focus on plant-based options, creating electricity through a solar powered ‘SmartFlower’, using recycled and upcycled materials and furniture along with reusable crockery and a state-of-the-art food-waste digestion system.
Windsor Enclosure
A collection of modern Indian restaurants combining British ingredients with the flavours and aromas of India, Kricket was founded in 2015 and started life in a 20-seater shipping container at Pop Brixton.
Now well-established in the London food scene, Kricket will make its Royal Ascot debut in the Windsor Enclosure with a selection of casual small plates offering modern Indian inspired cuisine alongside Indian-inspired cocktails, independent spirits and craft beers. No pre-booking required.
FORTNUM & MASON PICNIC HAMPERS
The history between Fortum and Mason and Royal Ascot has been long-standing, with many an Ascot visitor queuing to collect their Fortnum and Mason picnic hamper.
Racegoers can pre-purchase 11 adventure-ready, exclusive Fortnum & Mason picnics containing traditional British ingredients of the highest quality. With sweet and savoury options, including Scottish smoked salmon, Fortnum’s famous scotch eggs, premium British cheeses and perfect puddings to round it off, guests can choose from an array of glorious treats for their race day picnic.
