A Bracknell charity committed to provided families in need with good quality essentials have issued a plea for help as more and more people struggle with cost of living.
The Cowshed have demonstrated a nimple response to not only the local communities, but also for Ukrainian families displaced from their homeland and in need of supplies.
Since April, the self-funded organization has created more than 450 specialist welcome packs and 300 appointments for families in need of clothing and other essentials, and all with no government funding.

The team have also been brushing up on their Ukrainian over the past few months as they welcome those displaced by war in their homeland. They said their welcoming smiles bely the reality of the situation at The Cowshed.
Sally Russell, founder of Cowshed, said, “We were already at what we believed was capacity in March having already supported more than 7,000 people locally in the last year, then we were suddenly inundated with additional requests for support for people fleeing Ukraine.
“Obviously we don’t want to turn anyone away, these families have already been through so much, but we are in desperate need of support, either in the form of donations of good quality, useable items or more importantly, specific items from our Amazon Wishlist which will ensure donations are exactly what is required.”
