A recent patient study has revealed that GP satisfaction in Bracknell varies by just under 30 percent within the ten main practices.
Secretary of state for health Sajid Javid told an NHS conference on Wednesday the current model of GP care “is not working,” something the British Medical Association previously attributed to a decade of underfunding from his party.
With hints of a plan for “primary care reform” coming from the Conservative minister, we looked at the overall experience of Bracknell residents at their GP surgeries.
The GP Patient Surveys, designed by the NHS to discover each GP’s strengths and weaknesses is sent out to each patient.
In 2021 the national average for an overall good experience at UK surgeries is 83%, with the local CCG averaging at 82%.

Five of the ten Bracknell practices scored above the 82% average. The top surgery to score good by it’s patients within the survey was Crownwood Medical Centre. Whereas the lowest was Forest Health Group with 9% under.
One of the lowest performing surgeries, Forest Health Group shows that only 22% of patients usually get to speak to their preferred GP when they would like and only 48% are satisfied with general appointment times available.
