TV cameras have been spotted in many locations across Bracknell Forest throughout the years. Whether you are new to the area or have called Bracknell your home for decades everyone remembers the famous faces that have walked the streets.
From small BBC series to block buster films, this little piece of Berkshire has always been a favourite location for celebs.

The latest film crews have been seen at Bracknell train station for the new BBC comedy drama ‘Avoidance’ starring Romesh Ranganathan. The ‘Bus Station Cafeteria’ was featured in multiple scenes throughout the six-episode drama.
Here is a list of films and TV shows that have been filmed in Bracknell and surrounding areas.
Harry Potter
Harry Potter and the Philosopher Stone and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1 were filmed in Bracknell in a spot called Martins Heron.
Both the train station and a house on Picket Post Close were used as locations for two of the most popular settings in the Harry Potter landscape.
The house was chosen as the iconic building for Privet Drive, Harry’s childhood home. This is famously the first ever scene in the entire Harry Potter series.
Swinley Forest was also seen in Deathly Hallows part 1 as Harry, Ron and Hermine were travelling across the country.
Eddie the Eagle - 2016
Just a little outside Bracknell in Binfield is the now demolished John Nike ski slopes where Taron Egerton played the famous snow jumper in the movie about Eddie’s life and career.
Many remember meeting celebrities here throughout the years while it was in it’s prime. As the only dry ski slopes in Berkshire this was the obvious choice for a film of this nature.
The Wrong Mans - 2013
Amazingly, not only was Bracknell used as the location for this BBC comedy series – it was also the subject of it.
The premise being that a character was tasked with regenerating ‘often unloved’ town of Bracknell. This BBC Two comedy starred the now Oscar award winning actor and presenter James Corden (in his younger days.)
Fighting with my Family - 2017
In March 2017 actor and director Stephen Merchant was seen alongside a fleet of lorries near to St Paul's Church in The Square, Ralphs Ride for the filming of Fighting with my Family which was a new wrestling film at the time.
Cruella - 2019
Filming for the silver screen remake of Cruella was shot at a location in Easthampstead in 2019. An old council building, Easthampstead House was restored for a scene in the movie starring Emma Stone.
The shooting for this took place on November 1, 2019.
A surprising amount of Netflix series have used Bracknell locations as their backdrops. This includes 2020's The Witcher and the Amazon Prime version of Hanna.
These are the most recent, however many other films have been filmed in Bracknell Forest that have fond memories for the people from this little corner of Berkshire.
