High value Range Rovers and BMW’s have become popular targets for the continuing keyless car thefts in the Bracknell and Wokingham area.
Police have warned owners to be extra vigilant when considering vehicle security as reports throughout the county continue to rise.
Security steps have been released by police to ensure the increased safety of your vehicle from theft.

Fitting a steering wheel lock has become a popular deterrent to prevent keyless car theft – with some models linking to pedals and gear sticks.
Making sure to check that the vehicle is securely locked manually is a measure that police have advised as some electronic devices can be used to jam the electric signal from the key fob to lock the vehicle.
Keeping the car’s key fob safe while in the home has been advised which includes keeping it away from windows and doors and turning off the phones wireless signal. Signal blocking pouches also stop thieves from using relay devices to replicate the signal to unlock the car.
TVP have advised to look out for neighbours if you hear or see anything suspicious and call 101 or 999 if you believe a crime is in process.
