1. David Wolfe: Maidenhead school caretaker jailed for child sex offences

Bracknell News:

A SCHOOL caretaker said 'he should be hung' after he admitted to arranging sexual acts with a child.

David Wolfe, of Elm Drive, Winkfield, was locked up after also admitting to sending a picture of his genitalia to a 13-year-old girl.

The 63-year-old was arrested after he tried to meet up with the child - who was really an undercover police officer - having brought condoms with him to a park in Windsor in the summer of 2020.

3. The Golden Farmer landlady thanks loyal customers as she says goodbye

A popular Bracknell pub has said goodbye to its land lady this month after less than a year of creating a dedicated hub for the community.

As of June 6, The Golden Farmer closed for a six-week refurb after which Kas Cox will not be returning as land lady.

She took over the Easthampstead business in October 2021 with the goal of creating and moulding the space into one of community values.

4. Bracknell man watches bailiffs attempt to break into home despite paying thousands to gas company

Bracknell News:

A Bracknell man was caught off guard this month when he found bailiffs attempting to break into his house because of ‘someone else’s unpaid debt’.

Kane Roberts, who has been living in his new build in Bracknell since March 2021 set up a dual tariff direct debit with British Gas upon moving into his property pay.

Soon after, he started to receive letters addressed to another person that was racking up charges on his meter. 

Understandably, Roberts didn’t think much of it because of his monthly payments of £150 and was re-assured when the gas company ‘weren’t really acknowledging it’.

4. The latest food hygiene ratings for Bracknell restaurants

New food hygiene ratings have been handed to restaurants, takeaways, and cafes in Bracknell.

Following recent council inspections restaurants across the county have been given a rating between one and five.

Bracknell News:

The hygiene rating system is used by local authorities to determine how food outlets store, handle and prepare the food they distribute to the public.

The Bracknell restaurant to receive top marks is VUR Trading No 1, at Hilton National Hotel, Bagshot Road.
